If you notice a dogs performance getting steadily better or worse, then this is an important predictive factor. There is also the track preference. Notice if your dog runs midtrack, on the rail or on the outside of the pack. This will let you know if his position will keep him out of the way of trouble.  This is another useful tip when betting on the dogs.
